After retiring twice in 2023, Yiliang ‘Doublelift’ Peng is now returning to the competitive League of Legends scene with a new team.
Doublelift will play alongside a combination of streamers and former pros, including:
Ashkan ‘TF Blade’ Homayouni
Mingyi ‘Spica’ Lu
Eugene ‘Pobelter’ Park
Vincent ‘Biofrost’ Wang
This roster was first reported by Sheep Esports via LCS Eevee journalists and will compete in the 2025 North American Challengers League (NACL) qualifiers.
Team Without a Permanent Coach
According to Doublelift, the team will not have a permanent coach. Instead, they plan to invite guest coaches occasionally, such as:
William ‘Meteos’ Hartman
Nick ‘LS’ De Cesare
Doublelift Confirms He’s Not Serious About Competition
When speaking in a live broadcast regarding his League of The Americas (LTA) qualifying targets, Doublelift emphasized that he had no intention of competing seriously.
“I hope you guys appreciate my candor here — I have absolutely no interest in living the lifestyle of a professional player,” Doublelift said.
“Leena (Doublelift’s partner) and I are getting married, we want to have children. I have other hobbies and interests outside of League of Legends. I don’t want to dedicate my life completely to playing this game.”
There is no team name yet, but a content plan is being prepared
Doublelift still hasn’t decided on an official team name. Additionally, it also has some exciting content plans that will be announced soon. Meanwhile, he will register a roster for the 2025 NACL.
All of his team’s scrims (practices) in the NACL Open Qualifier will be broadcast live for two weeks, starting on February 13 against Supernova. This approach is similar to that taken by badak togel European team Los Ratones, founded by popular streamer Marc Robert ‘Caedrel’ Lamont.
